  • If you are interested, Coach Bortzner holds Saturday workshops in Satellite Beach.
  • The next Scholastic Tournament is Saturday, February 20th at Central Middle School. Go to www.SpaceCoastChess.org to register or for more info contact me.  Remember that you must be a member of USCF to enter.
  • Save the Date: March 13th - the Scholastic Tournament is at OSS! 
  • Congratulations to Ignacio for playing and representing OSS in the National Scholastic Tournament held in Texas this past December.  We know he exemplified courage, respect. humility, diligence and kindness. We are so proud of Ignacio's effort and determination.

  • Team OSS - 3rd Place (K-3 Division)
  • Michael Harrington - 2nd place (K-3, under division and biggest upset game)
  • Ignacio Serrato III - 1st place (K-1, over division)

October Scholastic Tournament

  • Team OSS - 3rd Place (K-3 Division)
  • Ignacio Serrato III - 4th Place ?
