Saints Athletics

The Saints Athletic Program aims to promote the moral and character development of the student as well as fostering a spiritual development on and off the playing field. 

Our Saviour Catholic School is a member of the Catholic Youth Sports League which includes all of the other Catholic Elementary schools in Brevard County. The athletic directors meet quarterly to organize games and events for the students.


The following sports are available:

FALL

Coed Cross Country - Grades:   K - 8th (August thru December)

Coed Grade School Basketball - Grades K - 5th grade (September thru October)

Middle School Girls Basketball - Grades 6-8 (August thru October)

Middle School Boys Soccer - Grades 6-8 (August thru October)

WINTER

Coed Grade School Soccer - Grades K - 5th grade (December thru February)

Middle School Girls Soccer - Grades 6-8th (December thru February)

Middle School Boys Basketball - Grades 6-8th (December thru February)

SPRING

Coed Grade School Flag Football - Grades K - 5th grade (March thru May)

Middle School Girls and Boys Volleyball - Grades 6-8th (March thru May)

Coed Track and Field - Grades K-8  (April and May)

Participants in team sports must maintain a grade point averagle above 70% and have a conduct grade of ourstanding or satisfactory.  Students who participate in team sports must have a written permission slip on file that includes the name of the family’s insurance company, the policy number, and an emergency contact number. A fee is charged for each student who participates in the sports program. The fees are used to pay for sports equipment, referees, and league fees. No student will be excluded from the extra –curricular sports program due to financial need.

Other Athletic Activities:

Jump Rope/ Hoops for Heart - our students participate in this school  wide event to raise funds and awareness for heart disease.

Field Day - Annually,  this themed event is enjoyed by all students. Friendly competition between the classes  provided a fun day This year  to celebrate Catholic School Week as we paid tribute to The Olympics. The events included: Bobsled, Biathlon, Speed Skating, Hockey and Curling. 7 th grade led the torch relay  in the opening ceremonies and ended with the National Anthem in the closing ceremonies. Fun was had by all!
