Meet Our Teachers
Pre K 3/VPK
Mrs. Afaf has been working with Our Saviour Catholic School for seventeen years. She has two children who both attended Our Saviour Catholic school from pre-kindergarten to 8th grade. Mrs. Afaf has been involved in the Pre-Kindergarten 3 and VPK classes as well as the summer camp program. She has a Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC) certificate for children from birth to 5 years old.
Mrs. Housman is one of Our Saviour's VPK/PreK4 Teachers. Since graduating from Florida State University, in 2006, Mrs. Housman has been working in Early Childhood Education. Her years of experience as a preschool teacher and center director is proving to be vital new addition to Our Saviour Prekindergarten Program. Mrs. Housman holds her DCF 40HR Certification, DCF Staff and Directors Credential. Currently, she has her Temporary Teaching Certificate in Prekindergarten/Primary Education and will be shortly obtaining her Professional Teaching Certificate.
Mrs. Gisondi has been with Our Saviour Catholic School for twelve years. During those years, she has been a teacher assistant in kindergarten and prekindergarten. Her experience working with different teachers and grades has provided Our Saviour Prekindergarten Program with an invaluable teaching assistant. She has a Bachelors of Science from Ithaca College and the DCF 40HR Certification.
Mrs. Tracie Goodwin has been teaching as a Florida State Certified teacher for over 15 years. She has her Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degree in Education from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) She is also a National Board Certified Teacher in K-3. She has worked as educator with the Brevard Zoo and Orlando Science Center. Mrs. Goodwin has received the Walt Disney World Teacherrific Award in the elementary category for the program she created in her classroom. She has been invited to be a member of Who's Who in Americas Teachers and is a member of the International Reading Association and the National Association for the Education of Young Children, even presenting at workshops for the local chapter. She is a graduate of Brevard Counties Catholic Schools and a member of Our Saviours Parish.
Mrs. Gleeson has been teaching at Our Saviour's School for 15 years. She spent 11 years teaching Pre Kindergarten and the past four years in second grade. Mrs. Gleeson has a bachelor's degree in Education and Psychology. She also has a degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Gleeson is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).
Mrs. DiLoreto has been teaching 3rd grade at Our Saviour's School for seven years. She also taught grades 2 and 4 in the Brevard County Public Schools. She is a member of the NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics). Mrs. DiLoreto's three children attended Our Saviour's School.
Mrs. Bowman has been teaching in the diocese of Orlando for 25 years, 13 of those years she has been at Our Saviours. She has taught grades 3-8 and has been certified in 5 states. She has twice been awarded the “Who’s Who of American Teachers”. She is a member of the NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics), NCEA (National Catholic Educational Association), and ATSM (Academy of Teachers of Science and Mathematics)
Middle School - 5th, 6th & 7th Grades
Miss Personius is a new addition to our staff at Our Saviour School. She is a 2012 graduate from Niagara University with a degree in Education certification grades 5-12 in French, a minor in Spanish and is certified to teach English as well. She spent the 2012-2013 acedemic year teaching English in France and is now happily adjusting to a new journey at OSCS. She currently teaches English Language arts to grades 5-7, and French and Spanish to grades K-7.
Mrs. Rodecker is excited to be starting her sixth year at Our Saviour Catholic School. Currently, Mrs. Rodecker teaches Middle School Social Studies and Literature. Previously, she has taught various subjects in Social Studies at the high school level. Mrs. Rodecker holds a Master of Science degree in Education and a Master of Arts in Labor Relations. Mrs. Rodecker possesses Florida State Certification in Social Studies Grades 5-9 and Grades 6-12 as well as Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum Grades 5-9. In addition, she possesses certification for New York State Social Studies Grades 5-6 and 6-12. Prior to pursuing her love of history, Mrs. Rodecker worked within the field of Human Resources for many years. Mrs. Rodecker believes that education is the key to success for young students. She looks forward to working with her students to help them reach their inner strengths and abilities and discover what truly inspires them.
Mr. Sterling teaches the middle school math and science courses. While he enjoys teaching advanced high school credit courses, he see's each student as an individual with unique interests, abilities, and capacities. During a single class students work on varied assignments that blend together to form a unified concept. This allows all students to experience success on their own level and as a class!
Mrs. Cseley is the music teacher for Our Saviour Catholic School. She attended the Florida State University for her undergraduate work and then attended The Boston Conservatory, where she received Master’s Degrees in both Music Education and Violin Performance. She taught for many years in public schools, conducted several orchestra programs, and has played extensively in orchestras herself. She recently moved back to the area and we are very happy to have her at Our Saviour’s.
Mrs. McLaughlin was born and raised in New Orleans and attended an all-girls catholic high school and college before graduating from LSU physical therapy school. She has been a member of Our Saviour's parish since 1990 and has been actively involved ever since. All 4 of her children graduated from Our Saviour’s Catholic School and Melbourne Central Catholic. This is her first year teaching PE and Health at Our Saviour’s.
Media & Computers
Amy Westner has been an active member of Church of Our Saviour for 22 years. Mrs. Westner holds both an Associate’s degree and Bachelor’s degree from Johnson and Wales University in Providence Rhode Island. She has recently earned a K-6 teacher certification from the State of Florida as well as a Catechist Certification form the Diocese of Orlando. Mrs. Westner’s belief and dedication to Catholic Education keeps bringing her back to Our Saviour. First, in faith formation, as the director of R.C.I.A, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, then as a school parent, school board member and permanent substitute teacher. In 2011 Mrs. Westner joined the permanent staff at Our Saviour Catholic School as the office administrator. Mrs. Westner currently serves our school teaching Media and Technology to grades K-8, Seventh Grade Religion and continues her role as school bookkeeper.
