Fourth grade is a time of independent in-depth learning.  Students build upon their reading skills to make inferences and describe in depth a character, setting or event in a story.  They will demonstrate a command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking.  In Religion the focus is on the Ten Commandments and the eight beatitudes.  Math focuses on Multiplication with multi-digit numbers, long division, geometry, and basic algebra.  Science has three components, life, earth and physical.  Social Studies focuses on the history of Florida.
